    April 24, 2015

The Summer months are a time to have fun with your styling and an excuse to start experimenting a little more with new prints and shapes. The trend that stands out amongst the high street this month is Geometric. Take a trip down memory lane and revisit the simple shapes that surrounded you in school and welcome them into your wardrobe.

The SS15 catwalks stemmed the beginning of how geometric shapes would feature greatly amongst the high street this Season. With key players like Michael Kors creating a new approach to the classic Gingham, we see a more complex look at the traditional check print.

Merging shapes and prints was an obvious choice for the more 'out there' designers like Julien MacDonald. He combined a mixture of transparency printed materials with an almost animal print design. This approach to the geometric trend had a big impact on the designs available this season. Simple designs are becoming a thing of the past with tribal and Aztec prints making a comeback.

Our favourite on are the Blue Bright Aztec Print Trousers  and the best selling Black and White Zig Zag Print Wide Trousers. Two bold styles to make you stand out from the crowd.

The geometric trend offers a vast selection of muted to more complex prints to dress up your Summer wardrobe. Push the boundaries by teaming contrasting styles together to create a statement piece sure to turn heads. Try mixing stripes with checks by teaming our best selling Black Trousers with White Stripes with a simple cami top and the Black Check Side Split Shirt . The right balance of contrasting prints with an added bonus of layered textures.

The tailoring present at the SS15 catwalks are a prime example that it is not only the prints that give this trend its statutory status. Oscar de la Renta, renowned for sophisticated styling, created a new approach to the co-ord. Teaming boxy crop tops with elongated pencil skirts to create a structured yet feminine look.

Within our Geometric category we focused on both aspects of the trend. Creating an imaginative collection of structured shapes and bold prints to entice all style tastes.

Simple symmetrical styling is complimented by the repetitiveness of our SS15 prints. A variety of mix match prints including classic grids, zig zags and diamond shapes.

Don't shy away from print this season, try something new by embracing the Geometric trend.
