    Evolution of the Fashion Blogger

In the fashion industry influences are everywhere, from magazines to street style we all take inspiration from what we see others wearing. Finding a trend setter that matches your personal style is key to stay on top of the latest looks, hence the growth in popularity of Fashion Bloggers.

The evolution of the Fashion Blogger has grown immensely in the last few years becoming a prime marketing tool for brands to reach their target audience. An influential fashion blogger wearing one of our pieces can determine a new best seller in a matter of days of them posting the look on their blog.

Fashion bloggers work well as inspiration for customers as each blogger has a different style. This allows shoppers to find a blogger that matches their own look. Whether its  boho babe or indie styling, the same item could be adapted to fit your style in a way you might of never thought before. The inclusion of Fashion Bloggers working with brands is a really good way to display the collections through new eyes. Teaming items that would never usually be worn together, to create something unique that customers can adapt to. It also allows customers who have bought the same item to get styling ideas.

Here at Glamorous we love our featured bloggers, they all have their own unique personal style. The way each of them approach our collection illustrates their individuality in terms of styling. From casual chic to sophisticated class, our bloggers give our new collection a unique look. From teaming our cream biker jacket with a lace slip dress to medic inspired duster coats, our bloggers definitely show us how its done to create an individual new style.

Autumn Winter trend have always been very print orientated and this year is no exception. From bold embroideries to pretty paisleys, AW14 is set to overload us with a vast range of fantastic prints so what will be the Hot Trend of the season?

The classic Check print has made a comeback for the upcoming season, stemming away from its Gingham roots, the check trend is definitely something you need to check out. Breaking away from the norm with diamond shapes, overlaps, block colour to blurred shades, bold grids to muted shapes, the generic check has been upgraded.

    Spring-Summer-2013-Collections-Squares

Dominating the catwalks, this geometric favourite has inspired designers to embrace the simple things and take them back to classroom. The basic square can have so many looks, highlighted in next seasons collections. From simple to warped, the check has gone beyond a chess board.

Our new collection at Glamorous covers all the key trends for AW14 including the Check trend in all its different varieties. The simple grid print co-ord is a stand out look for those Autumn Saturday nights out and not forgetting the altered dogtooth print coat, a Winter staple to get you through those cold days/nights. Our Check Mate style guide category is a must for AW. Check It Out!

  • Must Have Transitional Pieces

    August 8, 2014

     TRANSITIONAL TRENDS

The transition from SS to AW can be a tricky one for your wardrobe, especially with the current British weather. The key is to find the perfect transitional pieces  to help you through the coming months. We have highlighted our favourite pieces of the new collection to hep you out.

    1. Duster Coats

Currently dominating the high street, the duster coats are the must have coat style of the season. Available in a variety of styles and prints. Our favourite are the classic plain style, the wardrobe essential to complete any look this time of year.

    2. Paisley Print

A key trend for AW14 but paisley has made an outstanding comeback early on to be a key contender in the transitional trend key pieces. We love how versatile the print is from both swirls to Aztec inspired detailing, the paisley print is a style to suit everyone.

    3. Kimono

The kimono played a big part in our Spring Summer styling this year, from crochet designs to tassel fringing, the kimono could be dressed for any occasion. Due to this success the classic Kimono is overlapping into the AW style guides to rival the duster coats. Thicker materials and longer designs create the perfect transitional piece to add a little sophistication to your current styling.

    4. Slip Ons

The change in weather between SS and AW can make choosing appropriate footwear a bit of a challenge. That's why we love the current slip on skater shoe. Available on Glamorous in these three on trend styles, the perfect shoe for those in between months.

The samples have arrived and been shot in prep for the full launch of our AW collection, an exciting mix of fur, fringing and PU which has got us thinking about our winter wardrobes.

    FRINGING

    TAPESTRY PRINT

The tapestry print is a blast from the past, embroidered inspired styles to create a unique look. The muted bold prints complimented by the AW colour palette are set to be a key contender in the top trends for the winter. This wearable style combines aztec and geometric prints with classic woven materials.

We also see the return of the Winter favourites Fur and Leather look adding to the texture overload that takes over during the Winter months. Clashing textures can create an individual look. Teaming our new faux fur black and white gilet with wine coloured leather pants to create a strong statement look.

We can't wait to start embracing the AW trends with all our fantastic new prints and styles still to come at Glamorous.com. After all its never to early to start planning the Winter wardrobe.
